PLEASE put my Dad in your prayer :o{

this is why:

In the passed week my dad has been having some dizzy spells and Drinking A LOT of water, like he's never drank water before and going to the bathroom every 5 min..

Anyway my mom asked me to ask him Yesterday-Wednesday if I should make him a doctor’s appointment and he said 'No I'm okay, I've lost some weight but that’s good for me".

Then this morning he took me to the buses over by the Highland Park for work and on the way there he turned the wheel like he was going into a driveway and turned the wheel back real fast.

Scared me to death, I asked him if he's alright when I looked at him he tilted his head back on the head rest and took a real big sigh. Then he was fine.

That scared me so bad that I called my mom as soon as I got out of the car and told her to have Irma(my sister) call and make an appointment NOW, and told her what happened.

Irma calls me at work and leaves me a message to call her back and she said that she took dad to the doctor and they did some test and said that he's diabetic they sent him home to eat and that they need to come back at 1:00p.m. to get more test done.

I told her to call me back to find out what happened. Irma calls me back about 2:30 and said that his blood sugar was up to over 1000 the doctor want him in the Hospital NOW.

He's in there now they put in an i v with some potassium and in anothere bag some insulin to get his sugar down. They said that he will be in the hospital for 2 to 3 days.

What I don't understand, is how did he get it? Only one person in his family has Diabetes one sister and she's way younger than my 72 year old dad.

She's in her 60's. There was no kind of signs until now.

I MAY HAVE TO FIND A NEW JOB

Yesterday October 2, 2006 at 9:43 a.m. my mom's 62nd birthday the boss calls me to the office.

She wants me to go to a classroom for a teachers' aid because she got hurt and she had to go to Med 1 to get checked out.

In the same sentence I felt I was threatened with my job.

She said "I got your memo and if you don't get your licence at the time YOU said you were going to ( I don't ever remember saying a time) your floater job will NOT be yours and I will put you in a classroom". Now to me I was threatened.

She probably didn't mean it come out the way it did, but it did. I really didn't have time to react exept to cry a little because I had to go to a classroom.

If it come to me quiting it will be because of the classroom. (I NEVER wanted to be in a classroom the whole time, that is why I like being a Floater going classroom to classroom).

They want to put me in with a teacher that acts like the school setting is a daycare and she does't care if these kids learn anything only about herself. I do NOT want to be in that calssroom at all!

The Amazing Deck of Cards
It was quiet that day, the guns and the
mortars, and land mines for some
reason hadn't been heard.
The young soldier knew it was Sunday.
As he was sitting there, he got out an
old deck of cards and laid them out
across his bunk.
Just then an army sergeant came in and
said, "Why aren't you with the rest of the
platoon?"
The soldier replied, "I thought I would
stay behind and spend some time with
the Lord."
The sergeant said, "Looks to me like
you're going to play cards."
The soldier sad, "No, sir. You see, since
we are not allowed to have Bibles or
other spiritual books in this country,
I've decided to talk to the Lord by
studying this deck of cards."
The sergeant asked in disbelief,
"How will you do that?"
"You see the Ace, Sergeant? It reminds
me that there is only one God.
The Two represents the two parts of the
Bible, Old and New Testaments.
The Three represents the Father, Son,
and the Holy Ghost.
The Four stands for the Four Gospels:
Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
The Five is for the five virgins there
were ten, but only five of them were
glorified.
The Six is for the six days it took God to
create the Heavens and Earth.
The Seven is for the day God rested
after making His Creation.
The Eight is for the family of Noah and
his wife, their three sons and their wives
- the eight people God spared from the
flood that destroyed the Earth.
The Nine is for the lepers that Jesus
cleansed of leprosy. He cleansed ten,
but nine never thanked Him.
The Ten represents the Ten
Commandments that God handed down
to Moses on tablets made of stone.
The Jack is a reminder of Satan, one of
God's first angels, but he got kicked out
of heaven for his sly and wicked ways
and is now the joker of eternal hell.
The Queen stands for the Virgin Mary.
The King stands for Jesus, for he is the
King of all kings.
When I count the dots on all the cards, I
come up with 365 total, one for every
day of the year.
There are a total of 52 cards in a deck;
each is a week - 52 weeks in a year.
The four suits represent the four
seasons: Spring, summer, fall and winter.
Each suit has thirteen cards - there are
exactly thirteen weeks in a quarter.
So when I want to talk to God and thank
Him, I just pull out this old deck of cards
and they remind me of all that I have to
be thankful for."
The sergeant just stood there. After a
minute, with tears in his eyes and pain
in his heart, he said, "Soldier, can I
borrow that deck of cards?"
Please let this be a reminder and take
time to pray for all of our soldiers who
are being sent away, putting their lives
on the line fighting.
Please keeps the wheel rolling. It will only take a few seconds of your time, but it'll be worth it to read on....
A Prayer for the Military.
Lord, hold our troops in your loving
hands.
Protect them.
Bless them and their families.
I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord
and Savior.
Amen.
When you read this, please stop for a
moment and say a prayer for our
servicemen and women all around the
world.
This can be very powerful.
Of all the gifts you could give a Soldier,
prayer is the very best one.
